★Lesson 124：　Watermelon bust　（スイカ割り） 

夏の果物といえばスイカ☆今日はスイカ割りと洒落込みますか！

親： Can you choose a watermelon?　スイカを一つ選んで

 

 We’re going to do a watermelon bust on the beach!　海でスイカ割りするよ
子： I like this big one, please.　この大きいのがいい
   

～on the beach～　　～ ビーチで ～

子： Let’s do a watermelon bust now!　スイカ割りしよう！
親： All right, let me cover your eyes with this towel.
 
じゃ、このタオルで目を覆うよ
  Hold this pole.　この棒を持って
  Spin around five times.　５回まわって
子： One, two, three, four…five.　1, 2, 3, 4…5
　

　
親： Go straight!　真っすぐいって！
子： Oops! I can’t walk properly.　わ！ちゃんと歩けない
親： Keep going forward!　そのまま真っすぐ！
子：

Am I there?　ここ？
親： Turn a little to the right/lift!　少し右/左むいて
 

And smash it!　割れ！
子：

(smashes the watermelon)　（スイカを割る）
  I did it!　やった！
親：

Good job!　上出来！
子： Oh no … the watermelon is covered with the sand…　
  スイカが砂まみれだ…
親： Never mind.　気にしない
  Bring a piece of watermelon!　スイカを一つ持ってきて
  Rinse it with seawater.　海水ですすいで
  Hmm…it’s good!　うーん、美味しい！
子： Hmm…it’s yummy!　うーん、美味しい！
