★Lesson 118：　Taking a Train　（電車に乗る）

電車でおでかけ、マナーも覚えましょうね

子：

Which train are we taking?　どの電車に乗るの？

母： The one coming next.　次に来る電車よ
子：

So I’ll wait here!　じゃ、ここで待つ！

母： There’s a lady waiting before you.　先に並んでいる人がいるでしょ
  Can you say ‘sorry’ to the lady, please?　「ごめんなさい」は？
子： I’m sorry…　ごめんなさい
女： That’s OK.　いいのよ
母： Let’s stand in a line after the lady.　この方の後ろに並んで待ちましょう
　

　
子： Look!　見て！
  The train is coming!　電車が来た！
母： Let people get off the train first.　降りる人が先よ
子： Mom, hurry up!　ママ、早く！
  I’m keeping the seat for you!　席とってあげたよ
母： Thank you.　ありがとう
  But can you give up your seat to the lady, please?　
  でも席を譲ってあげてくれる？
子： Yes, mom.　はい、ママ
  (to the lady)　（女性に）
  Please have this seat.　座ってください
女： Oh, thank you.　ありがとう
  That’s kind of you.　優しいのね
子： Don’t mention it.　云うには及びませんよ
  I’m still young!　まだ若いですから！
