★Lesson 78：　On A Rainy Day　（雨の日）

毎日雨ばかり…でも雨の日の散歩も悪くないモンです

子： When will it stop raining?　雨はいつやむの？
親： I don’t know.　わからない
  It’s the rainy season. 今は梅雨なの
  We’re expecting rain the whole week.　今週一杯雨のはずよ
子： I’m bored. 退屈だよ
  I’m tired of staying at home.　 家にいるのに飽きたよ
  I want to go out.　外に行きたいよ
親： So why don’t we go out?　じゃ、外に行こうよ
  Let’s go for a walk! 散歩に行こう
  Put on your rainy coat.　レインコートを着て


　
子： What’s the name of this flower?　この花の名前は何？
親：
Oh, it’s ‘hydrangea’.　アジサイよ
  My favorite flower.　私の好きな花
子： It’s very beautiful. すごくきれいだね
  Look what’s on the leaf, mom!　ママ、葉っぱの上を見て！
 

Snails!　カタツムリだ！
 
The big one is Mama-snail.　大きいのがお母さんカタツムリ
親： And the little one is Baby-snail.　そして小さいのが赤ちゃんカタツムリね
子： Can I take them home?　家へ連れて帰ってもいい？
親： You’d better not.　そうしない方がいいわね
  Snails love to be in the rain.　カタツムリは雨が好きなのよ
子： Watch your step, mom.　ママ、足元気をつけて
親： What?　何？
子： There was a frog.　カエルがいたの
  You almost stepped on it.　踏みそうだったよ
親： Thanks for telling me that.　教えてくれてありがとう
子： Don’t mention it.　どういたしまして
