★Lesson 76：　My Garden　（ガーデニング） 

今日は庭でガーデニングに挑戦しましょう

子： There are many ponds around here. この辺は池がたくさんあるね
親： They aren’t ponds.　池じゃないよ
  They’re rice fields.　田んぼだよ
  Can you see the man over there? 　あそこの男の人見える?
  He’s a farmer.　農家の人よ
  He’s making some rice.　あの人がお米を作っているの
子： I want to make some rice, too.　僕もお米作りたい
親： I don’t think it’s easy.　簡単じゃないわよ
  But we can plant some vegetables in the garden.
  でも庭に野菜を植える事はできるね
  So let’s go and get some seeds.　種を買いに行こう

親： Make some holes on the ground.　地面に穴を作って
子：
How?　どうやって？
親： Use your fingers.　指を使うの
  Like this.　こういう風に
  Put some seeds in the holes.　穴に種を少し入れて
 

Cover the holes with soil.　土で穴を覆うの
 
Now water the holes.　水をやって
子： When will they come up?　いつ芽がでる？
親： In about a week.　だいたい一週間位
  You should water them every morning.　毎朝水をやらないといけないよ
子： Sure I will!　もちろんやるよ！
